Thankful comments make the work worthwhile

This time of year often has people thinking about being thankful. The same goes for us here at Trekers. We are thankful for those who read our blog and watch our YouTube videos!

When we started our YouTube channel and travel blog a few years back (with the Michigan State Park camping series), we thought about sharing our experiences, hoping people might find the encouragement they needed to get out there and make some of their own memories.

We have met a few people in person who shared their stories with us about watching a video while making trip plans and how helpful it was. It’s always a bit surreal to be recognized in public, especially when it’s on a backcountry trail in the Porcupine Mountains of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!

The work we do on this website and with our YouTube channel and social media outlets is time-consuming. And there are times when we wonder if it’s worth it. But our channel is growing steadily and more people recognize us in public. Even more rewarding is when we receive a message from someone telling us how our work has helped them.

Having blog posts and videos as our online memory lane has been great for reliving some of our greatest treks. But knowing they really are helping others is something we are truly thankful for!

We wish everyone safe travels this holiday season. And we hope you get to enjoy making some treks and memories of your own in 2023.

Keep on trekin’ and we’ll see you out there!
