Strikehold is unbelievably good — but you can believe us!

Strikehold reached out to us about becoming affiliates for its penetrating spray that cuts through rust and dirt. We thought the sales pitch sounded too good to be true. But we were wrong; this stuff is amazing. It’s so good that we have become affiliates and can get folks a 10% discount with the coupon code TREKERS10.

We often are contacted by companies looking to pitch their products on this website or our YouTube channel. But we won’t do that unless they send us a product to review. It’s not about wanting to get free stuff, although that’s a nice side-perk. But we aren’t going to tell our readers and followers to go buy something that we can’t personally vouch for. Whenever a company refuses, we have to question if they’re worried about a negative review.

But Strikehold said sure and immediately sent us the aerosol-can and spray-bottle versions of the product to test.

Since receiving it, I can’t stop using it on stuff. It’s just that good. The most dramatic use so far has been on my Jeep Wrangler. After sitting outside uncovered this past winter, the spare tire carrier latch became nearly impossible to open and close.

After spraying it with Strikehold, it was moving better than I’ve ever seen. And that was within about a minute of spraying it!

Here are before and after videos:

Since then, I’ve used it on several things, including a squeaky screen door hinge. I even sprayed the door of the microwave oven in our sticks-n-bricks. It has had an annoying weird squeak for years. Voila! A very small blast from Strikehold and the squeaks disappeared.

Jessi asked me if I was going to just spray it on everything. I said “Only the stuff that gets stuck or makes weird noises.” At this point, our daughter asked if I could spray her troublesome wrist. OK, so Strikehold can’t fix everything! But it can probably take care of a lot of problems around your house and your RV and other vehicles. After seeing how others have used it, I plan on tackling the underside of our tow vehicle to help address any concerns regarding corrosion.

Here is the official pitch from Strikehold, along with some notes from me based on my use so far:

  • A fast-acting, penetrating compound that cuts through dirt, rust and corrosion, quickly getting into metal parts that have become frozen or encrusted. (Yes, this does everything they say. It penetrates rusted connection points. It blasted through built-up dirt and rust, and it made frozen metal parts move buttery smooth.)
  • Strikehold® provides a long-lasting dry lubricant, which reduces friction. It helps dry out wet electrical gears and other water sensitive parts, and will actually improve electrical performance by cleaning and protecting contacts and internal parts, including circuitry and connections.  (Admittedly, I haven’t had a chance to use it on electrical components yet, but I plan to soon. If it works as well on those as it does on other things I’ve shot with it, I believe it will just be that much more of a winner.)
  • Strikehold® protects by providing a shield-like film against the effects of moisture and corrosion, even against salt water, while repelling sand, dirt and dust. (Can’t confirm this yet, but based what I’ve seen so far, it’s looking good and I plan on trying it out on our van.)
  • The dry-to-touch finish does not leave any smell or build-up of residue. (Definitely true! I sprayed on Strikehold and wiped off the excess as directed. I found there was no sticky or greasy residue left. And because I found no strong odor, I was much more comfortable using it in the kitchen of our sticks-n-bricks.)

So, there you have it. We think it’s a good enough product to become affiliates. And we think you’ll find it has a lot of potential uses in your life, too. Strikehold says it can be used in a lot of different industry applications. These include automotive and agricultural, marine and aviation, firearms, electrical and more.
