We’re putting a lot more trips under our belt lately and our preferred style of travel is to get away from the Interstate highway system. It’s a lot less stressful and more satisfying. So break out whatever navigation tool works for you. Then plot your way on some of the state highways and county roads. You’ll soon discover what you’ve been missing!

We live to use the National Geographic Atlas because it has MANY points of interest marked that you might never know about otherwise.
Thanks for the suggestion Patti!
Since you always find such neat places to see, I’ll have to check this one out. I tend to stick with the Rand McNally Michigan Atlas and Gazetteer, but I’ve discovered the newer “fancier” ones don’t contain all the information the older ones did, like the rustic forest campgrounds we like so well. I’ve found myself carrying both an old and new one to have all the information I need!
Enjoy your travels!
