Cedars of Lebanon State Park

Part of the Cedar Loop hiking trail. The 2-mile loop offers some relatively easy hiking with nice surroundings to enjoy.

Located southeast of Nashville, Tennessee, this is the park we stayed in for several days over the Solar Eclipse weekend.

The park is well-maintained and has a lot of things to offer visitors even when the sun isn’t playing hide and seek with the moon.

Biking and hiking are available here, as well as a large playground area for kids, a giant swimming pool, a small nature center with some local critters and a giant cave.

Be warned that if you want to go into the cave, you need to dress appropriately for muddy and, if you go in far enough, possible waist-high water conditions. Also, as you can imagine, it gets very dark, very fast inside there so bring plenty of adequate lighting.

You can see some drone footage we shot on the Cedar Loop trail below. The 2-mile loop offers some relatively easy hiking with nice surroundings to enjoy.
